Summary: DFR holders share a monthly pool sourced from a fixed portion of the merchant fee plus a per-member slice and any designated top-ups. Your share is proportional to your DFR Held ÷ Eligible DFR.

The Sources of the Pool

  • 2.65% Base: From the fixed 2.9% merchant fee, 2.65% funds the monthly pool for DFR holders.
  • Membership Slice: $3.36 per active member is added to the pool.
  • Top-Ups: DF may contribute additional amounts from non-processing revenue.

How Your Share Is Calculated

Your payout is proportional to your DFR compared to the total participating (eligible) DFR across the network:

Member Share = (DFR Held ÷ Eligible DFR) × Monthly Pool

Example

Suppose the monthly pool totals 100,000 DFC and you hold 50,000 DFR while Eligible DFR is 25,000,000:

(50,000 ÷ 25,000,000) × 100,000 = 200 DFC

Why It’s Predictable

Merchant fee policy is fixed; the pool formula is transparent; and distributions are paid monthly within the private venue.

How to Increase Your Share

  • Hold more DFR Access Units.
  • Refer members to grow the membership slice.
  • Encourage merchant adoption to expand total activity.
